Personal Facebook Page

Hi David,
 
It’s important to make a distinction between what is a Facebook account and a Facebook page.
 
I believe you have a personal Facebook account/profile under which you have created a fan page.
 
A business account wouldn’t be a different fan page, but a different account.
 
Under your existing personal account you have set up an ad account and as many fan pages as you want.
 
You can go to your personal ad account here: https://facebook.com/adsmanager – Access is using your personal account and the ad account should be set up (submit a support ticket if you have any issues).
 
When you set up an ad, it will be necessarily linked to a fan page as it will look like a normal Facebook post that has to be made by someone, has to have an author.
 
You can set up a fan page in the niche that you’ll be using for the first campaigns (e.g. freebies, health, beauty, gaming, etc) here: http://facebook.com/pages/create – The process is very simple, just define a simple name and description, upload a profile pic and that’s it.
 
Then, you should be able to create an ad under the new fan page using your ad account.
 
All of this will be happening under your personal account.
 
You don’t have to create a business account. In fact, if you don’t have a registered business, doing it could be an unnecessary headache.
