Get Ready For The Next Holidays!

Hello CPA Evolutioneer!

CPA is profitable the whole year, but it’s true that special dates and holidays can be awesome opportunities to make some extra cash.

So, I thought I should share with you some ideas for the upcoming holidays so that you’ll have time to prepare in advance and profit big!

Below I’ll suggest some niches and angles that you can use for running campaigns on US holidays, but feel free to get in touch with me to discuss other ideas and line up campaigns for holidays in other countries.

VETERANS DAY
November 11th

If you’re in the US, I’m sure you’re familiar with the Veterans Day as it is a national holiday. But here is a brief explanation taken from Wikipedia to help those who don’t live in the US and may not be familiar with this date:

Veterans Day (originally known as Armistice Day) is a federal holiday in the United States observed annually on November 11, for honoring military veterans, who are people who have served in the United States Armed Forces (that were discharged under conditions other than dishonorable).

Veterans Day is a very “serious” holiday, but it can be a great opportunity for CPAers.

The best niches for this date are online deals, bizopp and health.

You can promote special deals and offers that have an exclusive benefit or discount and target veterans. Since it’s a special date for them, it will make total sense (like offering someone a discount coupon on their birthday).

Just make sure to use respectful and “more serious” copy as the type of celebration in Veterans Day isn’t the same as in New Year, for example.

It’s also a good idea (not only for this one, but for the other holidays as well), that you don’t run your ad just on the holiday, but a few days before and after it. Already have this in mind when you start testing your ads so that the winners you find will suite both before and after the holiday.

THANKSGIVING DAY / BLACK FRIDAY / CYBER MONDAY
November 25th, 26th, 29th

This is 3 special dates in a row.

Thanksgiving Day may be not so easy to use for marketing, but Black Friday and Cyber Monday are perfect!

Probably the hottest offers for these dates are in the e-commerce niche. Networks get flooded with ecom offers that give people coupons or special deals (e.g. buy one get one free) and those “sell like hot cakes” during this period.

Besides ecom, online deals and freebies in general can be awesome, too.

In fact, any offer that represents a special deal can do great regardless of the niche.

CHRISTMAS
December 25th

Christmas is one of the most important dates of the years for Christian countries and it’s not different in the US.

But, at least for marketers, Christmas starts way before Christmas!

Make sure that you start to run your Christmas ads at least a couple of weeks before Christmas.

Again, ecom offers and online deals crush it on this date.

A nice idea that’s worked for me many times in the past is to target people who are “addicted” to something and tell them to take advantage on a special deal and give themselves a Christmas gift.

For example, I remember that in Christmas of 2019 I got amazing results promoting a 75% off deal on a “gourmet coffee” to coffee lovers.

My campaign was very targeted to ensure that I would reach people who really take drinking and appreciating coffee to a different level. Then, I told them that the coffee I was promoting was wonderful (apparently, it really was) and that they would never have another chance to taste it with such a big discount… and that they should give themselves a Christmas gift by getting at least a small box.

The campaign converted really well on Facebook.

NEW YEAR
January 1st

This holiday is a bit different, because the big day isn’t the holiday itself, but the days before and specially after it.

New year is time for new resolutions, it’s when people think about their lives and what they’d like to change.

The most common changes are associated with relationships, money and health. Therefore, fitness, bizopp and dating tend to perform really well during the new year.

January 1st is usually a very bad day for campaigns, because people are not really in the mood to buy something or search for something, they’re just taking some time off with their beloved ones. However, this “new resolution” mindset tends to remain until the end of January or even a bit more.

So, you can take advantage on that and create ads that at the same time promise something big in those areas and challenge people to make it different this time.

People’s mindset in the beginning of the year tend to favor those ads and create a better response.

But, again, if you want to make money in the new year, start working on your campaigns before that, in December.

Have everything ready before the new year and start testing your campaigns on January 2nd or 3rd.

I’ll be sharing more tips here in the VIP area and also in the CPA Evolution live training sessions as the holidays approach, so stay tuned!
